Today the second European tournament on the Alienware Arena portal has gone live as players go head to head to compete in the League of Legends European Clash of Champions event.

A record number of teams registered to take part in this event and the 1300 teams were whittled down to the 512 assigned a place in the tournament. Players from ten European countries will take pat over coming weeks to decide the winner of the 2000 Euro cash first prize. Run with support from the games publisher Riot Games this event has seen a massive interest from the League of Legends community and we will see professional teams locking horns with more casual teams as the event unfolds.

The demand to take part in this event has easily outstripped the expected interest and we look forward to some great games both during the preliminary stages and the championship final.
